Using Agentforce Actions with Microsoft Teams in Centro

Centro extends Salesforce Agentforce with native actions for Microsoft Teams, allowing you to create chats, collaborate, and sync updates between Teams and Salesforce—without switching tools.

This guide walks through how to use these capabilities in a real workflow.

Overview

With Centro’s Agentforce actions for Microsoft Teams, you can:

  • Create Microsoft Teams chats directly from Salesforce records

  • Automatically add Salesforce users to conversations

  • Share record context (like Opportunities) into Teams

  • Summarize conversations using Agentforce

  • Sync summaries back to Salesforce or Teams

Create a Microsoft Teams Chat from Salesforce

From within an Opportunity (or other supported record), you can prompt Agentforce to create a Teams chat.

Steps:

  1. Open your Salesforce record (e.g., Opportunity)

  2. Use Agentforce and enter a prompt like:

“Create a Microsoft Teams chat for this opportunity”

  3. Agentforce will:

    • Create the Teams chat

    • Link it to the Salesforce record

Result:

A new Teams chat is created and linked to your record automatically.

Add Participants to the Chat

Once the chat is created, you can add users directly from Salesforce.

Steps:

  1. Prompt Agentforce to add a user (e.g., “Add Joe Smith”)

  2. Agentforce will:

    • Match the user from Salesforce

    • Add them to the Teams conversation

Result:

Your team is instantly brought into the conversation without manual setup in Teams.

Share Salesforce Context in Teams

When the chat is created, Centro automatically posts relevant Salesforce context into Teams.

What gets shared:

  • Opportunity (or record) details

  • Linked record block

  • Relevant metadata for collaboration

Result:

Everyone in Teams has full visibility into the deal or record without needing Salesforce access in that moment.

View Teams Conversations Inside Salesforce

Centro keeps Teams and Salesforce fully connected.

From the Salesforce record, you can:

  • View the full Teams conversation

  • Access chat history and context

  • Stay aligned without switching apps

Summarize Conversations with Agentforce

Agentforce can generate summaries of Teams conversations directly from Salesforce.

Steps:

  1. Open the linked conversation in Salesforce

  2. Ask Agentforce for a summary (e.g., “Summarize this chat”). You may want to refine to be more concise such as "Summarize this chat in 3 bullets".

  3. Choose your preferred format:

    • Bullet points

    • Action-oriented summary

Result:

You get a clean, actionable summary of the discussion.

Push Summaries Back to Teams or Salesforce

Once a summary is generated, you can decide how it should be used

Options:
1. Post to Microsoft Teams

  • Share the summary back into the Teams chat

  • Keeps all participants aligned

2. Update Salesforce Fields

  • Save the summary directly to a field (e.g., Opportunity Summary)

  • Ensures CRM data stays current

Result:

Both systems stay in sync with no manual copy/paste.

End-to-End Workflow Example
  1. Create a Teams chat from an Opportunity

  2. Add key stakeholders automatically

  3. Collaborate in Teams with full Salesforce context

  4. Summarize the conversation using Agentforce

  5. Sync the summary back to Salesforce and/or Teams

Why This Matters

This integration allows your sales and account teams to:

  • Collaborate where they already work (Teams)

  • Keep Salesforce fully up to date

  • Reduce manual data entry

  • Maintain complete context across systems
