How to Send Salesforce Notifications to Microsoft Teams Using Centro
Centro enables seamless integration between Salesforce and Microsoft Teams, automating notifications and improving team collaboration. Follow the steps below to configure notifications when a new lead is created.
Prerequisites
Salesforce Administrator permissions
Centro installed in your Salesforce and Teams environments
Steps to Create Notifications:
Step 1: Create a Record-Triggered Flow
Navigate to Salesforce Setup and select Flow.
Click New Flow, and choose Record-Triggered Flow.
Set the triggering object to Lead.
Select Run Asynchronously.
Step 2: Add Centro Flow Elements
Sending Notifications to Private Chats:
Add the Centro Send Notification action.
Choose Chats under Teams.
Select the appropriate private chat group (e.g., "Hot Leads").
Craft your message using merge tags and variables for personalization.
Enable immediate sending and replies.
Attach the Salesforce record for direct linking.
Sending Notifications to Teams Channels:
Add another Centro Send Notification action.
Select your desired Team (e.g., "Sales Team").
Choose a specific channel (e.g., "New Leads").
Customize your message similarly to private chats.
Enable linking of threads to ensure organized conversations.
Step 3: Test Your Configuration
Create a new Lead record in Salesforce.
Verify that notifications appear in both Teams' private chat and the selected Teams channel.
Ensure Salesforce records are properly linked and responses sync between platforms.
Troubleshooting
Ensure Centro is correctly installed and permissions are set in both Salesforce and Teams.
